Idea

For my media blog I am doing a rational for a film poster based on an idea of a short film. On these two photos I am comparing them, although they are based on the same film they have some similarities and differences for example, the similarities I have noticed are the colours used, they use really dark and mysterious shades of contrast to portray the theme of the film. they also both tell a part of the story showing explotions and guns/weapons this shows to the audience that the film contains violence and action.
On the other hand these two film posters show their differences by again colours, for example ‘Batman The Dark Knight’ shows more colour than ‘The Dark Night Rises’ because the long shot of the joker has a variety of different colours, Purple, green, red, black and white. where as the medium shot of batman himself is just all black showing the only colour in his belt.
After analysing these two photos of the same film, I have decided that the photo on the left of Batman himself is quite powerful because although its just him it really says alot about him, dark and mysterious. and it also doesnt really need anything else on it to show anything more this adds tention and mystery. so in conclusion I have decided on the left poster of Batman.
